My passions lie in the creative arts and collaboration. I have been lucky to work with some amazing organizations over my career in the performing arts and entertainment technology.

Balletmet

I worked with Balletmet supporting lighting designer Judy Barto and her team for the 2005-2011 seasons while also touring productions through North America and Asia.

Opera Columbus

My true introduction to the classical arts was Aida. I was a part of the production team from 2005 until 2011 supporting lighting designer Judy Barto and provided sound reinforcement.

Columbus Symphony Orchestra

My work as an IATSE stagehand, production technician, and audio engineer continually led me to events supporting the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. From 2005 until 2011 my work centered around the beautiful Ohio Theatre where the CSO was based. I was fortunate to work with luminaries such as Yo Yo Ma, Marvin Hamlisch and Ling Ling.

Disney’s Lion King - Gazelle Tour

From July 2007 until April 2010 I toured North America with Disney’s Lion King Gazelle Tour. I supported Kevin Higley and the audio department on show advancement and touring logistics.

Ekoostik Hookah

Fresh out of university I toured internationally with the improvisational rock band Ekoostik Hookah from 2002 until their hiatus in 2005. I supported Dan Mesnard and the audio department while also serving as lead guitar tech and stage manager. Notable festivals include Bonnaroo, Summerfest, and multiple Hookahville’s.

CAPA - Columbus Association for the Performing Arts

For a decade from 2005 until 2015 I worked my way from stagehand to Technical Director managing the Riffe Center Theatre Complex. The organization is a bedrock for the performing arts in Columbus and for my own career. My wife and I (who danced with Balletmet for over a decade) were even married on stage at the Ohio Theatre!
